CAMO.A.025 requires the organisation to produce and maintain a Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) that describes its procedures, management system, and how it complies with Part-CAMO.

What it means in practice

The CAME is the primary document that demonstrates how the organisation meets every requirement of Part-CAMO. It must contain the organisation's safety policy, a description of the management system, job titles and responsibilities of nominated persons, an organisational chart, and detailed procedures for all continuing airworthiness management activities. The CAME must be acceptable to the competent authority and kept up to date at all times.

In practice, the CAME functions as the operating manual for the continuing airworthiness management organisation. Every staff member involved in continuing airworthiness must have access to the relevant parts of the CAME and must work in accordance with its procedures. When processes change, the CAME must be amended accordingly, and certain amendments require prior approval from the competent authority.

Key requirements

The CAME must be structured in a way acceptable to the competent authority and must include all items specified in the regulation. The accountable manager must sign a statement in the CAME committing the organisation to work in accordance with Part-CAMO and the CAME at all times. All amendments to the CAME must be managed through a formal revision process.

Common compliance gaps

A common gap is allowing the CAME to become outdated. Organisations change procedures, personnel, or facilities without updating the exposition, creating a disconnect between what the CAME states and what the organisation actually does. Auditors frequently identify this as a finding during surveillance visits.
